The Color of the Sun

Many people remember the Sun as being distinctly yellow, especially from childhood drawings and simplified educational materials. In reality, the Sun emits essentially white light when viewed from space, while Earth’s atmosphere can make it appear yellow, orange, or red from the ground. The confusion comes from perception and artistic convention rather than conflicting shared memories.
